- At sea, weather is an important factor that can change very quickly. Before you sail, consult the weather forecast and tide tables if necessary. - Protect yourself! Use equipment suitable for the weather conditions. - In warm weather: anti-UV clothing, sunglasses (attached to the vest or wetsuit), cap and sun cream. - For cold weather: thermal top, neoprene suit, anorak. - In all conditions wear gloves and ankle booties or shoes but not boots. |

- Have a towing end floating and attached to the boat. - Check that all material is attached securely. - Never abandon your craft. It will help to keep you afloat and can be spotted more easily. |
