Nicolas Capdeville
Born in the small town of Mimizan on the Atlantic coast in the Landes region of France, Nicolas Capdeville discovered bodyboarding during physiotherapy treatment following a motorbike accident in 1986. He fell in love with the sport, started competing and became the top performing French sportsman in the world of boardsports:
- 2 ISA international Surfing Association world championship titles in 1992 and in 2002
Frédéric Buyle
Born in 1972, Fred Buyle (pronounced "boil") began freediving at eight and has taught this discipline since 1991. In competition, in 1995 he beat the world record for variable weight apnea in a lake in Belgium, with a depth of 51m. In 1997, he beat the world record for fixed weight apnea in a lake with 53m in Switzerland.

The CMHT nautical club at Hendaye practises all leisure boating and sailing activities. For 3 years now Tribord has provided the sports sailing section with full outfits for dinghy sailing. Around 20 budding sailors, aged between 8 and 14, test Tribord products all year long. They give important feedback to the product manager to help us produce products that are adapted for junior sailors.

A 470 class team with a promising future! Kevin, 19-year-old helmsman, and Loïc, 20-year old crewman, are 2 of the most promising young sailors around today. They both study sports in La Rochelle. Their biggest dream: to be a member of the Match Racing team! Kevin and Julien have contributed to perfecting the DG900 lifejacket, which they were the first to test in "full-scale"!!! They have just been crowned French 420 class champions and World 470 class runners-up.

For over 20 years, the Atelier Bleu has been teaching youngsters about respecting the marine environment, using underwater discovery activities such as diving and snorkelling. The instructors and the young pupils at the CPIE Côte Provençale Atelier Bleu (Permanent Environment Initiative Centre) work in partnership with the Tribord design team to develop a range of simple, safe and innovative products to help children to do water sports. Originally located in Socoa (in the Basque country), Eric Lenoir and Jérôme Casenave from Atlantic Pirogue, show you how to "discover the land from the water". Since 2011 they have had a branch at the Tribord site in Hendaye. They accompany groups of all ages, all year round, in kayaks or in a polynesian pirogue.

Born into a family of mountain-dwellers and pelotari (Pelote Basque players), Amaiur Alfaro chose the ocean as his domain, a place to mark both his individuality and his talent. It was in the Socoa bay at Saint Jean de Luz that he discovered sailing at the age of eight, thanks to beginners' courses for children. Ever since, he has made the ocean his playground, as Basque sailors have done throughout this region's history. At 17 he became a sailing instructor.

PlanetOcean is a 5 star PADI diving centre based in Tribord's premises in Hendaye, on the Xingudi bay. This beach side location on the bay allows easy access to French and Spanish diving sites without carrying bottles, using the boats moored at the landing stage in front of the site. The centre uses Tribord equipment all year round. The team of instructors at the centre (Fred, Laurent and Olivier, the director) participates in the development of Tribord diving products since 2006.

The Noot l’Océan project, based on Reunion Island (‘noot’ means ‘ours’ in créole), is a platform for sharing technical, material, and human resources to further scientific research on marine mammals and to raise awareness about this fauna and preserve it. A base camp will soon be set up on the coast to accommodate the entire Nootl’Océan infrastructure.
